Who’s Carlo?

I’m a photographer and videographer based on planet Earth. I live for the quiet places surrounded by trees, fresh air, and dark skies.

I stand for love, peace, equality, and freedom — values that guide how I see the world and what I choose to capture through my lens. I hope my work connects with others who already love nature, reaches those who haven’t found that connection yet, and encourages everyone to care for the world we share through conservation.

How’d I get here?

It all started with a little silver Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P9, a 4-megapixel point-and-shoot I carried around at fourteen. I didn’t think about shutter speed or aperture back then: I just liked chasing odd angles and new perspectives.

A few years later, hiking trails became my classroom. My love for photography grew hand in hand with my appreciation and respect for nature.

I still remember the day I got my first DSLR (a camera where you can change the lens): a bundle deal on Black Friday. I stood in a short line before sunrise with my father, not realizing that little box would turn into a lifelong obsession. I went home that morning and read the entire manual. Many of the cameras features and terminology went right over my head but I was determined to learn by trial and error.

Where am I going?

I’m chasing the same feeling: that quiet moment when the light shifts, the forest breathes, the stars twinkle and I remember how much beauty is left in the world.

Always learning. Always exploring. Always looking for new perspectives.

Each photograph here is special to me. It holds a vivid memory of a place and a moment where I stood still and time stood still with me.
